I wanted to talk a little truth to those that really need to hear it and probably there’s a lot more that need to hear it than don’t. I wanted to come and talk about diet nutrition and failure. The reason why diet and nutrition fail is that you failed, that’s the reality of it. As my mentor, Jason Phillips, says, “Diets don’t fail, people do,” and that statement couldn’t be more truthful.

The reality of it is, it’s not that you got onto a diet, followed it to a “T” and saw no success. In actuality, if it was a good diet, you failed. That’s why when you look back, you’ve tried six or seven different diets, and then you wonder why they didn’t work. Well, the hard truth is you failed, you failed the diet, and you failed yourself. I know that sounds harsh and I don’t mean it harsh, we all have failed in some shape, form or fashion.

That being said, you need to take a good long look within yourself when you enter into a diet and you need to commit to it. You need to commit to you and figure out why you’re getting into this diet so that when things get tough and when things get hard, you can fall back on your why. You can remind yourself that you’re in this diet because you want to look better naked or you want your husband or wife to look at you differently when you walk in the room. Whatever the case may be and whatever the reason may be, that needs to be your why and you need to drive that home to yourself. You need to remind yourself why you’re doing what you’re doing.
